Upgrade Your Flexo Press and Your Profits With a Servo Upgrade

Upgrading the standard flexographic machine with a servo will save material and time costs. This will allow the printing press to generate more revenue through a wider range of tasks, such as printing multi-layered labels or finalizing the work of a digital printing machine. By adding a servo to an existing printing press, the machine can print more colors on a wider range of media with a resolution of up to 0.0025 inches at full print speed. A seal with a servo can correct design errors by being able to accurately rewrite the canvas for the second print. The printer can add a servo to an existing printing press for a small fraction of the cost of buying a new high-quality servo.

The servosystem follows the press

The servo can improve the flexographic printing press in two ways. First, the press is followed by a servo system. This not only helps you get the job done at the touch of a button, but it also helps you maintain a great resolution throughout the cycle. With the servo, the operator usually has less to stop the press or not stop it at all for adjustment. The press will have fewer losses due to fewer stops and launches, as well as the total amount of waste. Adding this feature to a standard printing press saves you time and money.

Thanks to the precise tension control of the canvas provided by the servo, the printing press can print at full speed on much thinner materials. This increases the amount of work the press can do.

Re-enrolment leads to savings and benefits

The second update function is the ability to accurately re-register the canvas based on previous work done on the same machine or on different machines. This offers a number of advantages. A four-color printing machine can print eight or even twelve colors, very accurately reproducing a re-saved task with different colors. If the designer calls and apologizes for sending the illustration with the wrong barcode, the printing machine can repeat the task for the correct barcode printing without wasting the production of the substrate and time.
